Toby Evans in Selby College’s decarbonisation laboratory

At Lambson Innovate, we believe our people are our greatest asset. Investing in their skills is key to driving innovation, sustainability, and growth. That’s why we’re proud to support training opportunities that help our team members expand their knowledge and contribute to our mission of creating high-quality, environmentally responsible products.

Recently, Toby Evans, a valued member of our team, completed the Heat Recovery & Transfer course with the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group: a programme designed to equip learners with practical expertise in energy efficiency.

Why Heat Recovery & Transfer Matters to Lambson

Reducing energy use is an important part of both our manufacturing processes and our sustainability commitments. By understanding exactly how energy is consumed and where it can be saved, we can:

  • Improve operational efficiency.
  • Reduce our environmental impact.
  • Support the UK’s net zero ambitions.

The Heat Recovery & Transfer course was the perfect fit for our business needs, offering in-depth insight into energy-saving technologies and their real-world applications.

Speaking about the programme, Toby said:

Understanding how much energy we use and could be saving was important to my employer, Lambson Innovate, so this programme was a perfect solution. The course is well delivered, and I’ve really enjoyed expanding my knowledge and meeting new people. I’d recommend it to any individual or business becoming more energy conscious.”

Aligning Skills Development with Sustainability

Lambson Innovate has long been committed to maintaining the highest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, even when we’re not legally required to do so. By encouraging our staff to participate in specialist training, we:

  • Build in-house expertise to support our sustainability goals.
  • Ensure we remain at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Empower employees to take an active role in environmental stewardship.

Whether it’s improving energy efficiency, refining production techniques, or enhancing product performance, skills development plays a crucial role in how we operate.
