Making sure our team have good mental health is just as important to us as ensuring they’re safe. Just as we provide PPE for their physical safety, we also provide mental health training and support to create a culture of compassion and understanding.
Today we’re shining a spotlight on Think Mental Health – our mental health partner.

Mental Health Matters
A few years ago, Director David Bean decided Lambson Innovate needed a provision of mental health support. Acknowledging the need for expertise in this area, and with a passion to help his workforce, he sought the right partner to work with.
Paul Longley from Think Mental Health became Lambson Innovate’s mental health champion. Since joining forces with Lambson, Paul has delivered Level 1 and Level 2 mental health training to not just our managers, but every single member of our team. Some have even gone on to complete further training to become Level 3 Mental Health First Aiders.
To us, investing in our people means making sure they feel secure, listened to, and inspired at work. While professional development training is important, we feel it’s just as important that we invest in our team’s personal development too. Our partnership with Think Mental Health has helped to cultivate an even better working environment, where staff feel emotionally safe.
Paul visits our premises once a month. He checks in on everyone, arranges 1:1 meetings, and offers additional mental health support to any team member that requires it.

Ongoing Training
Alongside the mental health services that Think Mental Health provides, the company also offers additional training.
Georgia Mennell, Head of Training and Development at Think Mental Health, has also delivered sexual harassment prevention training, leadership training, and resilience training to our team.

Supporting Our Team, Every Step of the Way
Lambson Innovate is dedicated to creating a supportive, growth-oriented culture. We understand that acknowledging mental health challenges, offering practical solutions, and encouraging open dialogue are just as critical as enhancing leadership skills or providing technical training.
By championing both emotional wellbeing and professional development, we’re working to ensure that every member of our team feels understood, empowered, and ready to make a real difference, both inside and outside of work.
Our emphasis on mental health and wellbeing has been recognised by Think Mental Health, who presented us with their ‘Above and Beyond’ award. This accolade reflects the genuine commitment we have towards our staff’s mental wellbeing, from the mental health awareness training we provide to the openness we cultivate in our everyday interactions.
“When we began working with David back in 2023, Lambson had no mental health provisions in place. To see the company go from nothing to ‘Above and Beyond’ is truly inspiring and a testament to the care Lambson shows to its employees”.
Paul Longley, Founder of Think Mental Health
